Originally a single large rock rising out of the sea, the three rocks became a single structure over tens of thousands of years, and their divine appearance can be seen today. The reddish-black, massive rock with a massive rock surface stands stolidly in a mysterious space spreading out in concentric circles. The main stone in the center has cracks and one can feel the passage of time through weathering. The gap between the presence of the majestic rock and the lightness of the flowing water represented by the white gravel doubles the solemnity of the rock formation and stirs a sense of awe in the viewer. The blank space of the white gravel is the beauty of wabi-sabi space unique to Japanese culture. Here lies the depth of harmony that can be seen in different ways by different people.
