All of the landscape stones are made of real natural stone. Therefore, there are some chips on the surface that occur in the natural state, but we consider these chips as part of the natural beauty of the stone. Please understand that this is not a quality problem.
Some landscape stones have naturally occurring cracks. Although these cracks are considered as part of the natural beauty of the stone, there is a possibility that the stone may crack if it is subjected to a large impact. Please handle with care to avoid impact.
Keiseki is made of natural stone that has been weathered by rain, wind, and water over a long period of time in nature. The surface of the keiseki may have a black or white mottled pattern due to lichens adhering to it. Please understand that this is just one of the charms of age.
When water is sprinkled on the landscape stone, the surface of the landscape stone becomes wet and shines darkly. Conversely, when it dries, it returns to a lighter color. You can sprinkle water as a hospitality and enjoy the changes until it dries up. When misting, be careful not to splash water on bamboo or wood.
The underlying sheet is marked with a white line. Install the sheet with this marked side facing up. The marked side is the waterproof side. Also, when installing the landscape stone, etc., install it along this mark. The △ mark should be aligned with the △ mark on the landscape stone.
The keystone is cut flat on the bottom. The cut surface is marked with a △ mark. Please place the stones so that this △ mark is aligned with the participation mark on the sheet. Also, please refer to the finished photo for placement.
Lanterns are made of several parts stacked on top of each other. Therefore, shaking the base or giving the lantern a shock may cause it to collapse and become dangerous. Do not install the lanterns in high or unstable places. Also, do not install the lanterns in places where children or pets can touch them, as it is extremely dangerous.
Lanterns are handmade by craftsmen. Therefore, the detailed shape and partial design of the lanterns are subject to change without notice. Please understand this in advance.
The bamboo material used in RakuNiwa is made from natural green bamboo, which is heated and adjusted to be straight. Therefore, there is almost no twisting or bending. However, please understand in advance that there is a limit due to the natural material, so some bending and slight deformation may occur over time.
Bamboo materials are selected from Japanese madake bamboo with good properties, dried, and treated to prevent insects and fungus. Therefore, there may be scratches and patterns during growth. Even with the anti-mold treatment, mold may occur in places with high humidity.
The edges of the bamboo are prone to fraying. If it should become warped, do not tear it off, but use a cutter or similar tool to cut a groove lightly on the surface where the warped part touches the bamboo body, and remove the warp.
Bamboo materials for Yotsumegaki have a shallow hole cut out at the connection between the tateko (vertical bamboo) and the dojiki (horizontal bamboo). The hollowed-out part may turn black due to friction caused during the work, but please understand that this is not a quality problem.
The tateko (vertical bamboo) of a yotsumegaki is installed with the knot-stopping end up. Since the bamboo is natural, there may be splits or chips at the joints due to processing. In order to prevent splits from occurring on the front side, the back side of the bamboo is split (intentionally split) in advance.
The back split of bamboo expands and contracts due to humidity. If you forcefully and strongly grip the bamboo material, the back split will shrink, causing splits and cracks outside of the back split. To prevent such damage, please be careful not to grip the bamboo forcibly and strongly.
For some of the hard-to-lift keiseki, we have hollowed out a portion of the bottom surface to create two handles. For those with handles, please insert your fingers firmly into the handles to lift the stone safely, as forcing your fingernails into the gaps may cause injury.
For heavy scenic stones, holes are drilled in the back surface to lighten the weight. The drilled holes on the backside may be sharp, so please be careful not to put your fingers in them as it may cause injury.
The bottom edge of the keystone is beveled to make it chip-resistant and safe to the touch. However, depending on the shape of the landscape stone, the bottom edge may be relatively sharp, so please handle it carefully to avoid damage from hitting it or injury from rubbing with your fingers.
Depending on the shape of the landscape stone, the stone thickness may be thin. Also, depending on the quality of the stone, the edges may collapse easily. If the edges collapse slightly, it will be hidden under the white gravel and will not be a problem for the landscape.
The posts of the fourth fence have an aluminum pipe attached to the bottom. This pipe is to prevent the hole diameter from changing due to expansion and contraction of the wood. Therefore, the pipe should not be removed from the wood.
A special stainless steel member is used as the base of the column. This member is for pedestal use only and should not be used for any other purpose. Please handle with care as it may rust due to prolonged contact with other steel materials or the use of chlorine bleach, detergents, or smear removers.
White gravel is gravel crushed to about 1 mm in diameter. It may be scattered by strong winds. Do not place where children may accidentally ingest it. Do not place where pets such as cats excrete.
White gravel is made from natural limestone. Please understand that colored grains will inevitably be mixed in during the manufacturing process. If there are grains that bother you in the landscape, please remove them before use.
Tezui-bachi are meant to purify the body and mind by filling them with water to wash hands and rinse the mouth. The center of the bowl is hollowed out for this purpose, but when water is actually poured into the bowl, it may leak from a small opening in the interior of the stone. Therefore, we recommend that the stone be used for ornamental purposes only. (Only with a hand basin).
The water bowl part of the hand basin is drilled in the shape of a cone. The edges of the hole have been shaved, but there may be sharp edges, so please be careful not to injure your fingers when handling the bowl. (Only with a water bowl)
The bamboo material is fixed with bamboo pins and shuro rope, without using screws or nails. Therefore, it is not a strong fixation, but a fixation for shaping, so it will collapse if strong force is applied after assembly, but this is not a quality problem.
The shuro rope is pre-bound for easy assembly. Please do not untie the rope as it will be attached to the Yotsumegaki as it is. If the rope is loose, please pull the rope to tighten it so that it does not come undone. It is dyed with sumi ink, so the sumi ink will dissolve when wet.
Tatami mats are made exclusively for RAKUTEI. Please do not use it for other purposes than RAKUTEI, such as stepping on it with your foot. The surface of tatami is made of Japanese paper to prevent mold and fading. If moisture soaks into the surface, there is a possibility of unevenness.
The back of the tatami is covered with a sheet with anti-slip and waterproof functions. Do not remove the surrounding black tape. Please place the tatami on a firm and flat surface.

Raku-Yard is for indoor use only. Exposure to rain, humidity, or direct sunlight may cause mold, cracks, etc., so please install in an appropriate location. Please note that even under the eaves, a location where humidity increases due to wind is inappropriate.
