RAKUTEI 70series IWAKURA – Petrified Wood –

70series

Width 70cm x Depth 70cm x Height 38cm
Weight 24.9kg

The combination of silicified wood, which is a fossilized wood, is used to create the image of IWAKURA (Sacred Rock Dwelling of the Gods). Silicified wood is fossilized wood in which silicic acid-containing groundwater seeps into the wood cells over hundreds to thousands of years, causing the wood cells to be replaced by agate and other hard minerals under pressure. The rock surface evokes the passage of time, creating a divine beauty and inspiring awe.
